Phone Link requirements and setup
Phone Link runs on the PC. The companion app on the phone is Link to Windows (Android) or the Phone Link integration in iOS. Both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi for the first pairing, and Bluetooth should be on.
- On the PC, open Phone Link from Start. Install it from the Microsoft Store if it is missing.
- Choose Android or iPhone and sign in with the same Microsoft account on both devices if the flow asks.
- On the phone, install or open Link to Windows and scan the QR code shown on the PC, or approve the prompt.
- Leave both devices unlocked until setup finishes. You can pin Phone Link to the taskbar afterward.
- Android can sync messages, notifications, photos, and calls when the phone supports it.
- iPhone support focuses on calls, messages, and contacts, and needs a current iOS version.
- If the phone disappears, toggle Bluetooth, then in Phone Link choose the device and refresh.
