Small-business help usually splits in two. Each person signs in with their own work account. An admin assigns licenses, resets passwords, and controls sharing.

• Users install apps and mail from microsoft365.com after an admin has assigned a license.
• Admins manage users in the Microsoft 365 admin center. A personal Microsoft account cannot change those settings.
• Shared files belong in SharePoint or a team, not only in one person’s OneDrive, so access survives a staff change.
• For outages, check the service health page in the admin center before you reinstall Office.
