Fix printer connection and printing problems

  1. Confirm the printer is on, has paper, and shows no error light. Restart the printer and the PC.
  2. Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners. Select the printer and choose Set as default if you turned off Windows’ automatic default.
  3. Open the queue and cancel every document. If the list will not clear, restart the PC and try one test page.
  4. Remove the printer, then choose Add device. For a network printer, the PC and printer should be on the same Wi-Fi.
  5. If the driver is the problem, install the current driver from the printer maker rather than an old disc.
